Deltaflow 2

Deltaflow 2: Revolutionizing Quantum Error Correction

Deltaflow 2 is the latest iteration of Riverlane’s Quantum Error Correction (QEC) stack, designed to enable quantum computers to stream high-fidelity memory. This breakthrough allows quantum computers to process error-free data indefinitely, marking a significant advancement in quantum computing technology.

Collaborative Design Excellence

Bloom In Motion partnered with Riverlane to craft the identity and industrial design language for Deltaflow 2. Our journey began with an in-depth exploration of design and shape language used in quantum error correction models, from correlated noise and qubit gates to surface code.

Innovative Hardware Design

The hardware was designed to fit within either a 2 or 4 rack unit box. While final specifications were still under development, our primary focus was designing the front panel — the most visible feature in a rack of servers. We explored various shapes and patterns using line art to visualize the layout of the main logo, components, and patterns.

Attention to Detail

Smaller yet crucial elements, such as the placement of the logo and power button, were meticulously tested and refined to ensure they fit seamlessly within the overall design. The power button is designed with tactile feedback to enhance user interaction, while the logo placement ensures brand visibility and recognition.

From Concept to Reality

Transitioning from 2D designs to 3D models allowed us to visualize different panel configurations and assess the overall weight and composition. As specifications evolved, so did our ideas, with continuous refinements in materials, colors, and aesthetics—from panel material to handles.

Final Design

Deltaflow 2 integrates advanced quantum error correction algorithms to mitigate correlated noise and optimize qubit gate operations. The surface code implementation ensures robust error detection and correction, enhancing the reliability of quantum computations.

The hardware design incorporates high-performance cooling systems to maintain optimal operating temperatures for processors. The front panel features precision-machined components, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. The X pattern cut-through, backlit by a series of lights, symbolizes the surface code of quantum error correction, providing both functional and visual significance.

The use of high-quality materials ensures durability and performance, while the refined aesthetics reflect the cutting-edge nature of Deltaflow 2.
